"When I hit that high note . . . it was ridiculous. When I started here there was no chance that I would ever hit that note like that. That's what I like about Suzanne, that she has the absolute ability, I'm convinced, to teach anybody to sing."

Hello and welcome! Let me tell you a bit about myself.
For more than a decade it has been my joy to partner with and support hundreds of vocalists of a wide range of ages, skill levels, and genres, at both my private studio and my fine arts high school studio in Toronto. I'm a lifelong learner and have formal training in teaching both commercial and classical musical styles. Check out my about page for more info.
Born and raised in small-town southwestern Ontario, I'm delighted to have returned to my roots to relaunch my studio in the heart of London, Canada's first UNESCO city of music! It's a privilege to empower and elevate the incredible artists and voices from this city in person and around the globe in my virtual studio.
I'm passionate about music education that fosters holistic personal growth, using teaching techniques rooted in the latest in voice research. I love to help speakers, singers, and songwriters alike find strength, range, and expression in their voice. I believe in creating a safe, inclusive space for community through the arts!
Outside of my music studio I'm a mom of two darling boys who keep me learning and growing. I love a good latté, a little bit of yoga, and a spontaneous DIY project. When you come to the studio you will see that I'm also a slightly obsessive gardener—I try to grow as much of our veg as possible and enjoy creating welcoming and peaceful spaces.
So, take a look around or send me a message via the contact page. I can't wait to meet you!
I've been working with Suzanne at New Song Academy for many years, first in person and now online since moving abroad, and her guidance has been truly invaluable! She has supported me through my transition from a classical background to my current work as a songwriter and performer in contemporary indie, rock and pop music. Her deep understanding of vocal technique, along with her ability to teach healthy and effective approaches, has always been incredibly helpful in my journey. As my style has evolved, Suzanne has provided me with the right techniques to adapt while maintaining vocal health. Her expertise across multiple genres makes her an incredible resource for any artist, especially those exploring different styles or blending genres in their performances. I'd recommend her to any aspiring vocalist.

Training with Suzanne was truly eye opening, and with her, I found confidence and grounding in my classical singing technique. With her help, I was well-prepared for my application to a summer program with The Juilliard School in 2018, which I was accepted into and attended, as well as, to undergraduate programs for music. In the Fall of 2019, I began attending the University of Toronto's Faculty of Music for classical voice studies. As someone who is also pursuing a musical career in pop/r&b, I continue to use what I've learned in my lessons with her whenever I perform.
